abstract = "Brazil is the largest coffee producer in the world, with a 30 to
40% of world production and the State of Espirito Santo is the
largest conillon coffee producer. Thus, the microregion of Afonso
Cl{\'a}udio, part of Serrana region has a seven counties and was
chosen for having a significant area of coffee crop yield, 28,305
hectares. Orthorectified aerial photographs provided by the State
Environmental Institute (IEMA) were used in the mapping of the
coffee crop yield that cover this microregion. The use of aerial
photographs allowed more detailed mapping of the area, thereby
increasing the accuracy of the work, however, areas close to
forests and crops in areas with eucalyptus and citrus can be
confused with coffee. In this work, were mapped 31,625.23 hectares
of coffee in the microregion of Afonso Cl{\'a}udio, representing
an increase of 112% of the estimated area by the IBGE. The county
of Domingos Martins showed the largest increase in acreage (187 %)
compared with data from IBGE (2008). Thus, the use of
Geotechnology data with high spatial resolution mapping showed
promising results and allowed a better identification of targets
on the surface, even with different cropping systems and
management. In addition, samples of georeferenced points with
cultivation of coffee, made available by IBGE, significantly
contributed to give more attention to certain areas.",
